1990–2009: Change and Expansion

The early 1990s brought further change and growth. In 1992, Astley Cross Scout Group amalgamated with Areley Kings Scout Group, strengthening local Scouting provision and bringing together resources, experience and membership.

To support increased activity and equipment needs, a container store was added to the Scout Hut. This practical improvement reflected a busy and active Group, with regular camps, badge work and district involvement continuing throughout the period.

Scouting during these years adapted to changes in society and within the Movement itself, while maintaining its core values of adventure, teamwork and service. Leadership development, outdoor activities and community engagement remained central to the programme.
