Areley Kings (WF18) Beavers are the youngest section of our group, but this does not prevent them from enjoying all that scouting and WF18 has to offer. They are introduced to outdoor activities, have the opportunity to be creative, explore our local community and take part in residential and camping trips.

Where possible and when necessary, we encourage parents of our beaver scouts to help out. This may be for one meeting a year or on our group executive committee by helping with fund raising for the group. Parents may even want to get more involved and become leaders themselves. In fact most of our current leaders are parents of children in the group. The section leader will talk to you about how you can help when you child first joins.us.
How can my child join WF9 Beaver Section?:
The simple answer is by contacting the Beaver Section Leader to see if there are any spaces available.
Currently we are able to run a Beaver section of no more than 15 children. This is to ensure that they are kept safe at all times by operating to a strict Leader to child ratio. If our section is full then we operate a waiting list which is based upon a first come first served basis - If you do wish your child to join, it is wise to contact the leaders well before their 6th birthday and as soon as possible to see if you need to put your child on our waiting list.
PLEASE NOTE: THAT THE WAITING LIST FOR BEAVERS IS POTENTIALLY UP TO A YEAR LONG SO IT IS IMPORTANT THAT IF YOU WOULD LIKE YOUR SON OR DAUGHTER TO BE PART OF ARELEY KINGS BEAVERS, YOU REGISTER THEM BEFORE THEIR 5TH BIRTHDAY
